Tide's McClain OK after motorcycle crash (AP)Alabama coach Nick Saban said linebacker Rolando McClain was involved in a motorcycle accident but sustained only minor injuries. The sophomore was released from a hospital in his hometown of Decatur after the accident Thursday. UCF CB Neal injured in shooting (AP)Central Florida cornerback Johnell Neal was injured during a shooting in his hometown of Baton Rouge, La. His condition wasn't immediately clear, the university said. Coach George O'Leary said he spoke with Neal and the player's mother. A phone message left with Baton Rouge police was not immediately returned Friday.
PSU's Timmons gets probation program (AP)Penn State cornerback Knowledge Timmons must serve a year in a probation program for first-time offenders after being charged with two misdemeanors. Timmons was charged with disorderly conduct and defiant trespass after an Oct. 7 fight that involved three other Penn State players. One man was injured in the campus fight.
