What a wild finish to Wildcard weekend! The first three games were dogs, unless of course you had an NFL Bet on the Ravens, Jets or Cowboys, but the Packers-Cardinals game more than made up for it.
Let’s have a look at the updated Super Bowl XLIV odds after this weekend’s games. The Colts are still the favorites at 3/1 but the San Diego are now right behind Indianapolis with the Chargers odds moving down to 7/2.
Indianapolis Colts – 3/1
The Colts watched and waited this weekend. We won’t see another Brady vs. Manning dual but after the Ravens destroyed the Patriots, I like this matchup better. The Colts are favored -6˝ versus Baltimore.
San Diego Chargers – 7/2
The Chargers will host the New York Jets in Sunday’s late game. The odds makers weren’t as impressed with Mark Sanchez’s performance as the rest of us, as they have the Chargers the -7˝ point favorite.
New Orleans Saints – 4/1
The Saints will host Kurt Warner and the Cardinals, it wouldn’t surprise me if we see a knockdown, drag’em out, defensive battle between these two teams…Nah just kidding, take the OVER. The BetUS.com sportsbook has the Saints as -7 point favorites over the Cardinals.
Dallas Cowboys – 13/2
The demons are gone and there is renewed hope in Cowboyland. The Dallas defensive line should dominate the Vikings offensive line, look for Favre to be on his back for most of the game.
Minnesota Vikings – 13/2
The Vikings will have trouble, protecting Favre against the defensive assault the Cowboys will bring, and Adrian Peterson will have trouble finding holes to run on Sunday. Things could look bad for Brett Favre but of course, I’ve quit betting against Favre after the San Francisco game in week 3. The Vikings are favored by 2˝ points against the Cowboys.
Arizona Cardinals – 14/1
If Kurt Warner plans to retire after this season, he’s going out in a blaze of glory. Five touchdown passes and 379 yards against the league’s top defense, he’ll have a good day against the Saints.
Baltimore Ravens – 14/1
I’m not sure if their victory over the Patriots says more about the Ravens greatness or the Patriots decline. But it will be a heck of a game as they try to embarrass a second future HOF quarterback in two weeks. Something tells me, Peyton won’t go down so easily.
New York Jets – 20/1
Good win kid, maybe you can build on it next year because you are going home after Sunday’s game versus the Chargers.
