The college basketball betting season is kicking off conference play, and the teams in the ACC are already off to a hot start! Check out how the teams in one of the top conferences in the country stack up in this week's BetUS college basketball power rankings...
1: Miami Hurricanes (6-1 ATS, 14-1 SU) (LW: 1) The Hurricanes stayed atop the college basketball power rankings on Sunday when they went west and crushed Pepperdine 86-63. You have to go back to November 20th to find the last time Miami failed to beat a college basketball betting line.
On Deck: Home vs. Wake Forest
2: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-2 ATS, 11-2 SU) (LW: 2) The Jackets fended off a tough challenge at UNC-Charlotte on Saturday afternoon in what will amount to be a major college basketball betting victory for the squad going forward.
On Deck: Away @ Georgia, Home vs. Duke
3: Duke Blue Devils (8-4 ATS, 12-1 SU) (LW: 3) Duke posted a few completely dominating performances last week. The road hasn't been kind to the Dookies yet this year, and they'll have to hit the highway twice in this week against two hungry squads.
On Deck: Away @ Iowa State, Away @ Georgia Tech
4: Clemson Tigers (7-5 ATS, 12-3 SU) (LW: 4) What an icky end of the week the Tigers had. After narrowly escaping a defeat at home against South Carolina State, they were smacked around by the Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor. Things should get better really soon as a pair of ACC foes head to Littlejohn this week.
On Deck: Home vs. Boston College, Home vs. North Carolina
5: North Carolina State Wolfpack (7-5-1 ATS, 10-4 SU) (LW: 5) Once again, the Wolfpack came up just short of notching a big victory at home when they lost to Florida on Sunday. Two more wins had better be on deck.
On Deck: Home vs. Holy Cross, Home vs. Virginia
6: Virginia Cavaliers (4-3 ATS, 7-4 SU) (LW: 7) The Cavs rolled to their third straight home victory out of conference when they trashed UAB 72-63. There's one more tune-up game on the schedule that shouldn't be of any consequence before taking on the big boys in the ACC.
On Deck: Home vs. Texas-Pan American, Away @ NC State
7: Wake Forest Demon Deacons (5-5 ATS, 11-2 SU) (LW: 6) Wake Forest played a ton of basketball this week. Not only did the Deacs play three games, but they also played three overtimes as well. However, they ran their winning streak to seven games with a win over the Musketeers.
On Deck: Away @ Miami
8: Virginia Tech Hokies (4-4 ATS, 12-1 SU) (LW: 9) After a victory on Saturday night on a neutral court over Seton Hall, it looks as though the Hokies have put together a resume good enough to make the NCAA Tournament with a decent mark in conference play. However, with the first three games coming against Carolina, Miami, and FSU, that may be a lot easier said than done.
On Deck: Away @ North Carolina
And the rest...
9: Boston College Eagles (5-6 ATS, 9-5 SU) (LW: 10)
10: North Carolina Tar Heels (5-7 ATS, 11-3 SU) (LW: 8)
11: Florida State Seminoles (4-6 ATS, 12-2 SU) (LW: 12)
12: Maryland Terrapins (4-6 ATS, 9-4 SU) (LW: 11)
