The NFL trade deadline is here and there are a few teams that should consider making a few moves to shed some cap space and perhaps pick up a few draft picks..
Here is a list of players that need new teams:
Terrell Owens: He will be a free agent at the year. He is not delivering in Buffalo and trade TO and then fire Dick Jauron.
TO in Chicago playing with Cutler, Forte, Hester and Knox sounds intriguing.
Chances of being traded: 1/5
Richard Seymour: I know the Raiders just got Seymour six weeks ago for a first round pick but he will be extremely difficult for the Raiders to re-sign in the offseason.
“Seymour knows this is his last chance for a big contract and agent Eugene Parker isn’t bringing him back to the Raiders for anything less than a premium contract,” Raiders general manager said.
Seymour has been dominating this season and would be easy to trade
Chances of being traded: 4/5
Chris Chambers: He was traded from Miami a couple of years ago at the trade deadline and he is having an awful year. Vincent Jackson has become Phillip Rivers go to guy and with Malcolm Floyd and Antonio Gates playing well it leaves Chambers as the odd man out.
He has only one TD in 6 receptions for 69 yards. The Chargers have what they need in the passing game and don’t need Chambers.
Chances of being traded: 3/5
Glenn Dorsey: The former No. 5 overall pick doesn’t fit what the Chiefs are trying to do on defense. However, there are several teams who still think he can be an impact player in the right structure.
“I thought he was a can’t-miss guy and obviously that was wrong, but there’s still ability there,” a head coach said last week. “If you put him in a Tampa 2 defense or put him in what Indianapolis is doing now, I think he could get back to being a really good player.”
