The Big Ten had a mixed bag of football betting results in the sixth week of CFB wagering. Find out what it all means for your future college football bets with this week’s BetUS Big 10 Power Poll…
1: Ohio State Buckeyes (5-1 ATS, 5-1 SU) (LW: 1) Ohio State slapped Wisconsin back into place by handing one of the two undefeated teams in the Big Ten a big loss at the 'Shoe on Saturday afternoon. Without a doubt, these Buckeyes should be 8-1 and most likely ranked in the Top-5 going into their showdown in Happy Valley on November 7th.
Up Next: Away @ Purdue (-13.5)
2: Iowa Hawkeyes (3-2 ATS, 6-0 SU) (LW: 2) For the second straight week, Iowa squeaked out a home victory but failed to cover a spread. However, it's really hard to argue with how well QB Ricky Stanzi and his Hawkeyes have been playing this year. There are really only three more potential hurdles on the schedule, one of which comes this week at Camp Randall.
Up Next: Away @ Wisconsin (PK)
3: Michigan Wolverines (4-2 ATS, 4-2 SU) (LW: 6) Wolverines bettors got back into the win column in Iowa City on Saturday night, but that won't make HC Rich Rodriguez feel any better about his team's L/2 losses. There's a tune-up on the schedule this week, but the upcoming game in two weeks against Penn State is setting up to be one of the biggest of Rodriguez' tenure in Ann Arbor.
Up Next: Home vs. Delaware State (OTB)
4: Indiana Hoosiers (3-2 ATS, 3-3 SU) (LW: 3) The Hoosiers were absolutely smacked by the Cavs in Charlottesville last weekend, which in turn will put a serious damper on their bowl possibilities. With only three home games remaining, Indiana will have to get a move on to reach six wins. This week's game is a must-have if the Hoosiers hope to be playing in December.
Up Next: Home vs. Illinois (+3)
5: Michigan State Spartans (3-2 ATS, 3-3 SU) (LW: 7) The Spartans have rebounded nicely from a 1-3 SU and 1-2 ATS start to record back-to-back wins and covers as four-point favorites. Last week, they took care of the Illini 24-14. Sparty's offense has really started to hum, as it ranks 28th in the land in total offense (423.8 yards per game) and 17th in passing (280.3 yards per game).
Up Next: Home vs. Northwestern (OTB)
6: Wisconsin Badgers (3-3 ATS, 5-1 SU) (LW: 4) Welcome to a dose of reality, Wisconsin. The Badgers used a pretty weak schedule to get to 5-0 and on the cusp of the Top-25, but when push came to shove against the big boys, they folded. Ohio State beat them 31-13 in the 'Shoe. Now we'll see how Wiscy can stack up at home against another top dog when the only undefeated team remaining in the conference comes to Camp Randall.
Up Next: Home vs. Iowa (PK)
And the rest…
7: Purdue Boilermakers (3-3 ATS, 1-5 SU) (LW: 5)
8: Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-3 ATS, 4-2 SU) (LW: 8)
9: Penn State Nittany Lions (2-4 ATS, 5-1 SU) (LW: 10)
10: Northwestern Wildcats (1-4 ATS, 4-2 SU) (LW: 9)
11: Illinois Fighting Illini (0-5 ATS, 1-4 SU) (LW: 11)
