Betting baseball is always better when there’s a pennant race on the go. With that in mind, saddle up for the Minnesota Twins’ opener of their three-game set with the Chicago White Sox tonight.
The Twins come into the series only three games behind AL Central-leading Detroit after they took two of three from the Tigers at the Metrodome over the weekend.
If Minnesota is going to catch Detroit, it’ll have to do so without the services of cleanup hitter Justin Morneau and third baseman Joe Crede, who are both out for the season with back injuries.
Nick Blackburn toes the rubber for the Twins, while the White Sox have yet to confirm their starter for tonight’s matchup. Gavin Floyd was scheduled to take the ball, but he’s questionable with a hip injury.
