Things certainly have died down in the trade department in the NBA these days but there have been a few moves of note.
Free-agent forward Sean May agreed in principle to a one-year contract with the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, hoping for a fresh start for a career that has been derailed by injuries.
The Toronto Raptors signed restricted free agent Jarrett Jack to an offer sheet on July 13, giving the Indiana Pacers a week to match the offer. They opted not to, clearing the way for Jack to land in Toronto Tuesday as general manager Bryan Colangelo remakes the Raptors’ roster.
In another minor move, free-agent forward Matt Barnes has agreed to a two-year contract with the Orlando Magic.
Solid move on the part of the Magic (+700), who are a favorite to win the NBA title in 2010.
