If you're looking for your home for March Madness predictions, you've come to the right place! With just three weeks remaining until Selection Sunday, we look into its crystal ball and tries to project what teams will be #3 seeds in the NCAA Tournament and what bracket they would be playing in.
#1: Kansas State Wildcats (14-6-1 ATS, 22-4 SU) - It's hard to argue the fact that Kansas State still only belongs on the #3 line right now at 22-4, but we still believe that New Mexico is more deserving of a #2 than the Wildcats are. That can all change in a real hurry, though. KSU may not just be able to get to the #2 spot, but it may be able to sneak up to a #1 if it can capture the Big XII Championship and take at least three of these L/4 in the regular season. For now though, our March Madness predictions have the Wildcats as the #3 in the Midwest.
Up Next: Away @ Texas Tech, Home vs. Missouri
#2: Ohio State Buckeyes (14-14 ATS, 21-7 SU) - Ohio State has had a heck of a week and a half or so of college basketball betting action. Wins over Illinois and Michigan State on the road were fantastic, but that home loss to Purdue was a head-scratcher. This is probably the hardest team to place on the bracket from #1 to #65, but for now, we'll stick the Buckeyes on the #3 line in the South. However, there’s a lot of room to move both up or down in these last three games of the regular season.
Up Next: Away @ Penn State, Home vs. Michigan
#3: BYU Cougars (15-10 ATS, 25-3 SU) - Convincing road victories against Colorado State and Wyoming have the Cougs thinking about a #2 seed. They'll be able to make their case at home this week against a bubble squad and the top team in the conference. It's hard to argue with how well that BYU has played offensively of late. It has put up at least 85 points in three straight and at least 71 in ten in a row. The West bracket seems to be the perfect spot for the Mountain West reps, but it may take Saturday's game against the Lobos to decide whether the Cougs deserve to be the second or the third seed out there. For now, it's the #3.
Up Next: Home vs. San Diego State, Home vs. New Mexico
#4: Pittsburgh Panthers (14-8-2 ATS, 21-6 SU) - Once again, when everything looked like it was falling apart for the Panthers, they've stormed back and won in back-to-back situations. Knocking off red hot Marquette was certainly a surprise, but coming home and taking it to Villanova was the more significant victory. These last four games are all very winnable, so don't be surprised to see Pitt wrap up the regular season at 25-6 and sitting pretty for a #2 seed or so. For now though, they'll be the #3 in the East.
