The biggest college basketball betting programs on the West Coast are still struggling in 2009-10. Take a look at the teams after a few weeks of competition against the NCAA basketball spreads.
1: Oregon State Beavers (10-4 ATS, 8-11 SU) (LW: 1) Oregon State may be pulling up the rear in the SU standings, but they're dominating the Pac-10's college basketball betting proceedings. An ATS split this week in conference was acceptable, but some victories are expected SU at home at some point.
On Deck: Home vs. USC, Home vs. UCLA
2: USC Trojans (9-7-2 ATS, 12-7 SU) (LW: 2) It's starting to become more and more of a sin that the Trojans can't play in the postseason. They're looking like one of the better sides in an awful conference.
On Deck: Away @ Oregon State, Away @ Oregon
3: Arizona Wildcats (9-8-1 ATS, 10-9 SU) (LW: 4) Arizona crippled its rival's chances of making the NCAA Tournament with a huge road win on Saturday. After three straight on the road, the Cats come home this week for the first time in 18 days.
On Deck: Home vs. Stanford, Home vs. California
4: California Golden Bears (9-9 ATS, 13-6 SU) (LW: 3) The Bears picked up two big wins against the Oregon schools at home last week, but their bettors really hoped for more than a split against the NCAA basketball spreads to finally get this team above .500. Maybe the duels in the desert will help.
On Deck: Away @ Arizona State, Away @ Arizona
5: UCLA Bruins (8-8 ATS, 9-10 SU) (LW: 6) Home wins against Washington and Washington State put UCLA back in the middle of the pack in the Pac-10. It's very reasonable to see this team going on a run, but it won't result in a bid to the NCAA Tournament without winning the Pac-10 tourney.
On Deck: Away @ Oregon, Away @ Oregon State
6: Arizona State Sun Devils (7-9 ATS, 14-6 SU) (LW: 5) What a lethal loss that was at home against Arizona! State is back to the drawing board this week, where home games against Cal and Stanford are absolute musts.
On Deck: Home vs. California, Home vs. Stanford
7: Stanford Cardinal (7-9-1 ATS, 10-9 SU) (LW: 9) Stanford was the best looking team in the conference this week, as it pounded both Oregon and Oregon State at home to get back above .500 SU. The next four are all on the road though, which is bad news for a team that is only 1-5 ATS as a visitor this year.
On Deck: Away @ Arizona, Away @ Arizona State
8: Washington State Cougars (7-11 ATS, 14-6 SU) (LW: 8) For as good as a win at USC was, a weekend whitewash at UCLA was a disaster for the Cougs. A win in Pullman would go a long way towards helping Wazzou get back in the talk for the tourney.
On Deck: Away @ Washington
And the rest...
9: Oregon Ducks (5-11 ATS, 10-9 SU) (LW: 7)
10: Washington Huskies (5-14 ATS, 12-7 SU) (LW: 10)
